Cittaslow pronounced “Chitteslow” towns is an Italian concept for recognizing municipalities that encourage sustainable living.
The Huffington Post has just named the top 9 towns on the list. At Light Partnership we believe in local authenticity, so even though it’s not quite “When in Rome…” we can definitely see parking the Vespa in the Italian town of Positano set on the spectacular Amalfi Coast. As they say over there, “Bellisima!”

I love this idea for Concord. I feel that we are sustainable, believe in and support local food and have a commitment to keeping green. I have been to a couple of these towns highlighted in the article, including Katoomba (a beautiful Australian town). My question is what is in it for the town to be part of the Citteslow circle? Is it just good PR?
